First Born

It's obvious that Henry is our first born and our only child.  It's also obvious that he is really cute.
He likes to fall asleep in the car

This was back when he had a receding hair line.  It's growing back in now.  He was pretty excited to see cousin Elle

Still loves the car

He is showing you how fat he can look.

Sweet baby

Apparently he looks like me when he sleeps.  He is starting to look more like Clark everyday though.  He has my blue eyes and maybe my nose but that's about it.

He has been getting a little rash on his body after he eats.... It is so random, but it doesn't seem to bother him.  I put Hydrocortisone cream on it and it will go away eventually.  Not sure if I should be concerned.  I'll ask the doctor at his 4 month check up.

He was 12 weeks old a week before he was 3 months old.  I'm still not sure how that works.  My next post will be his adorable 3 month pictures we took.

He likes to look anywhere but at me when I want him too.  He is also doing the sign for the letter N.  He is so smart.

He loves TV.  He will do anything he can to see the TV, even if he isn't facing it.

Utah State Aggie Fan!
(do you see the rash again)

He is getting really good at Tummy Time and blowing bubbles.

He's not all smiles all the time.  I was trying to get a good picture of his bottom lip, but of course he wouldn't do it.  He has the best sad face.

Summer Lovin'

Summer has been good to us so far.  We haven't done much, but hanging out with the baby is all the fun I need.  We do have plans to go to Bear Lake and Jackson Hole for our anniversary and we are going to Wicked on the 24th!  We also have a couple family reunions and Melissa and the kids are coming to Utah at the end of the month.  Lots of fun to look forward to.

Henry decided to get an early start learning the ways of the garage.  On this day he learned about sanding.

 Independence Day
Henry didn't like the loud sirens from the fire trucks.  We were at the Kaysville parade and sat in front of the DATC and Henry and I sat in the shade not even down by the road and he was still upset by them.  He fell asleep shortly after.

4th of July nap after our yummy BBQ.  Yep he is a thumb sucker.  It is great now because it helps him fall asleep on his own.  Ask me if I like it in 2 years :)

Waiting for the fireworks to start.  Henry fell asleep shortly after.  We know how he feels about parades and fireworks.
He makes me melt like a Popsicle on the Fourth of July...

Clark bought Henry a swimming pool so we tried it out on the 4th.  Henry was not too impressed.  We had fun dressing him in his swimsuit and taking a million pictures, Henry was mellow and probably thought we were crazy.

The diaper was useless in the water so after we took it off, Henry's suit didn't fit so well.  He has a cute bum so it's okay.

Sometimes I feel like all I do all day is take pictures of this cute guy.  My phone literally had around 200 photos on it.

The flash on my camera startled him in this one, ha ha!

Blessing

Clark blessed Henry on Father's Day (June 17th).  We decided to do it at Blaine & Carolyn's home since our church is at 9am and we had family coming from Logan.  We also hadn't been in the ward that long, and we felt like a blessing at home would be more personal. We sang an opening song "Teach Me to Walk in the Light" which I love.  I'm a sucker for Primary songs. Henry was a champ and Clark gave a wonderful blessing.  Then we had delicious food afterwards and just visited with family.  It was a very nice, relaxing day.

Henry wore the little outfit Clark was blessed in!  Apparently those buttons were supposed to go in the back, but we thought it was cute like a little cardigan.  He looks darling no matter what!

Our little family.  I love my boys

All the wonderful Priesthood holders.  Also Happy Fathers Day to my Dad on the very end on the right (the one that looks like Steve Martin) and Clark's Dad (the bald guy behind Clark).

My Grandma Norda

Hali and Jack.
They became friends at Clark's graduation party when they both wanted to play barbies!  Jack knows how to get the ladies

Henry and Nana (my Mom)

Henry and Grandma Carolyn (Clark's Mom)

Henry and Grandma Lorie (My step-mom)

Emmett Girls

I made this heart collage for Clark for Father's Day and had it printed poster size.  I think it turned out pretty cute.

2 Months

Well my baby is now 2 months old!  Time is flying by.  I don't really notice how much he is changing until I look back on pictures of him in the hospital and his first month of life. He is starting to look more like a little baby, not so much of the newborn look. He was a champ at his 2 month checkup, but was not a happy camper a few hours later.  He wasn't his normal smiley, happy self.  He cried at the slightest thing, and just wanted to eat and cuddle (which was fine with me).  He is healthy and growing so I'm happy.  Here are the stats:

Weight: 11 pounds 5 ounces (40 percentile)
Height: 23 1/4 inches (64 percentile)
Head: 16 1/8 (75 percentile)

Here are some facts about Mr. Henry:
-He is super smiley after he eats and has a diaper change.  He is also very smiley early in the morning at his feeding anywhere between 4 and 6 AM.
-Last night he went 8 hours between feedings!  It was a miracle.
-He is starting to notice his hands and he likes to put them up in the air or in front of his face.  He also likes to eat them.
-He is starting to loose his cute fuzzy baby hair.  It makes me so sad.  He has a receding hair line and random bald spots on the sides and back of his head.  I still think he looks handsome though.
-He loves when Clark comes home from work and as soon as Clark talks, Henry will smile the biggest smile.  I love it.
-He still only grunts and fusses a little when he is hungry or tired.  Rarely does he do a full out cry or scream.
- He still spits up like crazy.  I've been trying to cut out dairy products, but I'm not always the best at that.  There is milk or some sort of dairy product in everything.  It's hard to completely cut it out.  His pediatrician said I should eat dairy again to see if it still bothers him so I've been eating it in moderation.  He still spits up but it doesn't seem like it is as much as it used to be.  It is more annoying for me to change his clothes and burp cloths all the time.  But it doesn't seem to bother him at all.  His pediatrician (who I love by the way, he is awesome) said Henry has reflux, but it's not painful for him like it is for other babies.
-He is our sweet blue eyed baby.  Still can't decide what color of hair he will have.  In the sun light I see reddish tints, but his eyebrows and eyelashes are brown.

-I started this post so long ago and I'm finally posting it.  He came down with a nasty cold on Monday night.  He started with just a little cough and Tuesday it turned into a stuffy congested nose and a nasty cough.  I took him to the doctor and it isn't anything serious like RSV or pneumonia it is just a cold.  We have a humidifier going and I have to suck out his boogers all the time.  He sleeps a lot more and hasn't been eating very well.  Hopefully we make it through his first cold.

-We blessed him on Father's day so when I load those photos onto the computer I will blog about that.  It was a great day and Henry & Clark did awesome.  I'm so proud of my boys.

Cute blue eyed baby.  He likes to have his hands in fists and he will stretch his arm out and it looks like he is giving you a fist bump.  Or he will have both arms out like Frankenstein.

I promise he has other clothes than this striped outfit.  It seems like he is always wearing it when I take pictures!

2 months old!  He is so big

I took this picture to give to Clark for Father's Day.  Henry thinks his dad is pretty cool.

Oh Henry

I plugged my iphone into my computer to update it and I seriously had about 100 pictures of Henry on my phone!  We bought a nice camera, but my phone is usually handy and easier to quickly snap a picture.  Henry is almost 2 months old!  He has his 2 month check up on Monday and I'm a little nervous for the shots.  I just don't want him to be fussy the whole day. He is a pretty tough baby, so I'm sure he will be fine.
Our summer so far has been pretty uneventful.  Henry has accompanied me on a few shopping trips which he slept right through (typical boy), we've been up to Logan a few times to see family, he met his girlfriend Laila, and he spent a few nights up in Bear Lake at the cabin over Memorial Day weekend.  I bought him a little swim suit so maybe in a couple months we will make a trip to the swimming pool!

Here are a few of the many pictures from my phone.... If you follow me on Instagram I'm sorry you have probably seen all of these pictures and you are probably sick of seeing my child.  But for those who haven't seen his cute face, enjoy!  I sure enjoy looking at him all day everyday :)

Love those lips!  He wasn't even a month old in this picture.

So little

Mother's Day
We moved to Kaysville that week and we had A LOT of stuff so we finally got it all moved on Mother's Day.  We had to get a picture of our home for the last 18 months and Henry's first home.

nap time with Dad.  Clark works long hours all week so Friday night he crashes.  Poor guy.  Henry loves to nap with his Dad

We made it to Logan for Max's last soccer game.  He has become quite the soccer player and I'm pretty sure his team was basically undefeated (but do they really keep track when they are 6)

He's going to take after Clark and be a Mr. Fix It

Love me some naked baby time.  Henry also loves getting his bum changed and having a bath.  He likes being clean and naked.

Getting ready for his date with Miss Adelaide

He slept through the whole thing!
The next day I met my friends Jennifer, Janna, and Kelsey in Bountiful at Nielsen's frozen custard for dinner.  Henry slept through that too.  Thanks again Janna for dinner (who knew they didn't take credit cards.  I never carry cash or my check book. Henry & I owe Auntie Janna dinner)

He found his thumb.  When he is hungry and I'm fast asleep he will suck on his hands for a good 30 minutes and grunt before I actually wake up to feed him.

I thought he kind of looked like me as a baby in this picture.  I always had big eyes and flared nostrils!  We have a home video of my Dad coming home and whistling and I hear it so my eyes get huge and my nostrils started flaring.

Now this picture he looks more like Clark.  He is a good mix.

The little man is awake now so I better go.  He is starting to grunt so he must be hungry.
