Two Weeks

Two weeks from Friday I get to see these fine people!  I can't wait to be in California with nice warm weather (hopefully) and celebrating Merrick's 1st Birthday.  I think he is so happy in this picture because he knows his favorite Aunt Laura is coming to visit him.  Can I just tell you that I love Spring Break.

Also on a side note, I just realized that my car is 16 years old!  She is quite the trooper.  I haven't had any major problems with this car and I LOVE it.  I love the body style and I don't want it to ever die on me. Thanks to my Grandma Allred I've had this car since I was a junior in high school.
This is the only picture I have of my car... Clark decorated it for my birthday and I had my cute puppy seeger back then!

Valentines Day

For Valentine's Day we celebrated all weekend.  On Saturday my cousin Emily was married in the Logan Temple and then had a luncheon at Hamilton's.  Since it was a wedding which symbolizes LOVE and we had a nice fancy lunch we decided to count that as part of our Valentine's Day celebration. Thanks Emily for getting married the day before! Later that night we went to the movie Valentine's Day.  Clark had agreed to go to the movie with me just to check it out since it was Valentine's Day.  My sister Adrienne and her sister in law Megan came along with my youngest sister Katie and my cousin McKinley!  Clark was the only boy.  I told him he could get out of it and I would just go with the girls, but he decided to come along.  It was a cute movie, but not one I am dying to buy on DVD.  There were definitely some parts I could have done without (Anne Hathaway's character was weird and she bugged).

The Bride and Groom (Emily & Brandon)
I didn't take real pictures, so you can enjoy a picture of their picture!  Megan (Adrienne's sis in law) did the flowers!  They were so pretty.

My present-- even though we said no presents since we didn't want to waste money on things we don't need.  He did get me some flowers and a case to hold my straightner!  I don't really care for Valentine's presents.  Just hanging out is fine with me!  Also I feel it is mostly a holiday where the girl gets a gift.  What do you get a guy besides candy.... He did buy himself some shoes and a beacon to take when he goes into the back country so I counted that as his present!

On Sunday morning we headed up to the cabin in Bear Lake to hang out with Clark's parents and sister Angie.  We went sledding that day since it was sunny and gorgeous outside.  We couldn't resist.

On Monday Clark, Angie and myself headed up to Beaver Mountain to do some skiing.  Most of my family was up there as well, so we had a great big family fun ski day!  I didn't get pictures though.  It was snowing and we were too busy skiing I guess.

A Bridal Shower and a Birthday

I am struggling... when I go to make a new post the layout is new, and the pictures just go where they want. Therefore it looks a little sloppy. We had a bridal shower for my cute cousin Emily back on January 30th.  Since it was close to February and she was getting married on February 13th we had a LOVE/tea party themed bridal shower.  My sisters and I stole the idea from my Aunt and cousins who threw a similar shower last year.  We had pink bread for tea sandwiches, fruit, salad, and yummy desserts.  We also did a candy bar poster where all the guests used a candy bar to give advice to the bride.  It turned out really fun, and my Grandma was kind enough to let us use her house!  Emily just got married this weekend and they had a very nice wedding luncheon at Hamilton's here in Logan. I don't have pictures yet, but the Bride looked beautiful!  Congratulations Emily and Brandon.

Here is Emily wearing her mom's wedding dress!  We pulled it out and had Emily take a picture holding the picture of her mom.... I remember always loving my aunt Mary's wedding dress and how pretty she looked!  Ha ha styles definitely change, but I still think my aunt was a beautiful bride back in the 80's!

Now on to the Birthday!  My cutest little nephew Max turned 4 on February 9th.  I can't believe how big he is.  He is the oldest nephew in my family and he has red hair (I feel a deep connection to him because of our red hair!).  We went to Firehouse to celebrate.  He even got his own F'zookie for the big day!  We helped him eat it of course since he only took two bites and was finished.

Crime Scene

So if any of you watched the news tonight you saw that Cambridge Court Apartments were part of the wave of burglaries here in Logan.  Some creeper has been going around to different apartment complexes and going into apartments at night and stealing computers, wallets, and car keys.  I know one of our girl apartments had things missing and then apparently today one of our guy apartments woke up to find laptops, wallets, and car keys missing!  They called the police and a couple hours later they caught the guy!!  We were at class when all of this was happening, so I didn't know about the last incident until Clark's family was calling us telling us Cambridge Court was on the news!  May this be a lesson to us all to lock your doors!  I'm a little paranoid and I lock the door during the day even if I'm home.  Yes, people think that this is an office and just walk in to my apartment like it's no big deal.  Yes we are the managers, but this is our home!  Apparently these tenants don't lock their doors, because it seems that he was just walking into the apartments.  Still creepy though, knowing someone is in your apartment while you are asleep.  Go to this link to watch the video.
