long overdue

Clark keeps reminding me that I never did a post about his adventure skiing the Wellsville's.  I told him that he could do a blog post, but he didn't seem to excited about that idea.  So I am finally getting around to it since I am on his lap top and the pictures are on his computer, not mine.  In April he hiked the Wellsville's with a group of guys.  The hike was long and steep but apparently worth it!  He even wanted to do it the next weekend, but the weather was bad.  He will just have to wait for next year.  I wish he was doing this post because he would have more to say about it... oh well.  Here are some pictures from the hike.

His only complaint was his back pack isn't made for carrying skis.

In deep thought... probably thinking how crazy he was to do this.  Oh wait that is what I was thinking anxiously sitting at home.  I always think the worst will happen (like avalanches, falling off the side of the mountain, hitting a tree...).

At this point they had to walk a mile to their car.... 

He had a great time and all I heard for the next week was about the Wellsville Mountains and anything that had to do with back country skiing!  At least he is passionate about something and is enjoying life to its fullest!  I will stick to my nice groomed runs and a few "in boundary" powder runs.  No hiking mountains for me.  If anyone wants to do the hike next year I know a guy who will do it with you!
