Wedding Shower

Last Saturday I went to a wedding shower for my cousin Adam's fiance Heidi. My aunt and my cousins are so creative.  They came up with the "Tea Party" theme Love is brewing!  They had different tea pots and tea sets as the decor and we had little sandwiches with colored bread, mini desserts, fruit and veggies w/ dip. It was so cute and the food was delicious.  I didn't get pictures of all the food but check out my cousin Megan's blog for more photos!

Baby Blessing & Birthday

Yesterday was my nephew Jack's blessing.  He did so good up there, and Clark claims he smiled at him in the circle... yes Clark's eyes were open!
Being held by Grandma Lorie
He is wearing an outfit homemade by his Grandma on Tyler's side.

Also my nephew Max (Jack's older brother) has a birthday today!
Happy 3rd Birthday to Maximo!
My sister Adrienne and I decided to make Max's birthday cake.  It turned out alright except for my lettering and the fact that the cake was cracking down the middle.  We improvised by filling the cracks with "rocks"  It was a true construction cake!
They came to my  house on Friday to hang out so I snapped some photos!
They are so stinkin' cute

29 Days and Counting

We are getting so excited for our trip to Tokyo over Spring Break!  I took a picture of Clark's empty suitcases, because I wish they were full of clothes and on there way to Japan.
We are going to try and go skiing while we are out there.  This is the ski resort that we would go to.  It is called Appi Kogen
It looks pretty cool, and it says it is comparable to Aspen.  I'm just excited to say that I've now skied in Austria/Switzerland and soon Japan.
Shibuya Square
I'm assuming it is similar to Time Square in NY, but with a lot more people.
We are leaving on Thursday March 5th and we will arrive in Tokyo on Friday March 6th.  Brad (Clark's brother) said we will stay in Tokyo that  night instead of driving home to their house which is on Yokota Air Force Base.  I'm not sure how far that is from Japan,
I think he said about an 1-2 hour drive.
Thanks to my mom we bought our tickets last weekend at the cheapest price we could find.  I looked the other day and they have all gone up a little in price, so we are so glad we bought them when we did.  My mom put them on her credit card since we don't own a credit card
and we are paying her back! THANKS MOM!
I'm not looking forward to the LONG FLIGHT, but I do have a book I have to read for one of my classes so I guess that's what I'll be doing on the 16+ hour flight.

CP Designs

So I was thinking the other day that Clark has such a wonderful talent of woodworking. It has been quite awhile since he has used his talent. Since he doesn't have any tools up here in Logan, and has to go to Kaysville to do most things he hasn't been building as much lately. Maybe another reason is our apartment is too small for any more stuff! So I had a bright idea that he needs to start making things to sell to other people so they can enjoy his talent as well :) Plus we can always use some extra income, especially with our upcoming trip to Japan (Yes we are going to Japan for Spring Break, we are so excited!) Anyway I haven't decided how we are going to start our little "woodworking store" but if you
need anything let me know!

Magnet Board (Can you find your Christmas Card up there)
This is one of my favorites! Clark's mom has one too but it is HUGE and it hangs in her laundry room and takes up one whole wall, I love it! So if you want one, he can make it basically any size or color. Plus he made me the little snowflake magnets too! I'm sure you could request some magnets too.
Shelves
When I worked at Pier 1 there was a shelf I wanted but it was like $50 so Clark made me a replica.  I liked it so much he made me another one!
They can be any color. Basically it can be any way you want!
Jewelry Box (notice the walnut and maple inlay, so fancy!)
Clark made me this jewelry box out of cherry wood, walnut & maple to match my bedroom set & computer desk! Maybe one day I will post all of our furniture too. My jewelry is usually stuffed in there, I need a bigger one. I tilted it up so you could see it but it just slides open, pretty simple. I think my sister Adrienne talked about Clark making a whole Jewelry Armoire... stay tuned it may happen one day!

Shadow Box
I guess you call this a shadow Box. It isn't really a box, more like a framed leaf! Can you tell I love the colors brown and green? I swear not everything in my house is brown...well maybe it is! You could really put anything in one of these. He did one for my mom with 3 leaves that she brought home from a trip to Germany. Flowers would be cute in one too!

Clark didn't make this (well he cut the blocks)
Of course it was crafty Angie my sister in law. I helped her pick out the material but basically she did the rest, and I love my little snowman! Perfect for a January decoration.

A little "Martin Luther King Jr. Day" fun

Since we didn't have school today we decided to head up to the cabin.  We went up Sunday afternoon and went skiing today.  It was a lot of fun, but seriously it felt like a spring skiing day.  IT was REALLY warm!  We didn't get any pictures skiing, but here are some pics from the cabin.  It was so cold there that the trees all had ice on them, they looked sweet!  Thank you inversion!

After skiing, Clark's mom, grandma & sister came up to hang out for a little while.  We had some take out, then Angie & I made some really cute blocks for Valentines Day!  This is becoming sort of a tradition for the two of us, it seems like we get together and make blocks for every holiday!  So far we have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Fall, Christmas & now Valentines blocks.  They are so cute, and pretty easy to make if you are in a crafty/creative mood.  For those of you who don't like making them but want some, seriously tell me and Angie will make you some you can buy.  She is thinking about selling all of her crafts!

We couldn't hold all of the letters so we just picked one to show off
Here are my blocks. They turned out pretty cute!
Now I just need it to be a little closer to February so I can put them out officially

New Years & My Birthday

For New Years this year we went up to the cabin in Bear Lake just to hang out and relax.  Angie brought some friends up and we spent the evening playing wii, watching movies, and playing games.  At midnight we did the good old banging on pots and pans and blowing the noise makers.  On New Years day a few of us went skiing at Beaver Mtn!  We had a lot of fun this year, and I actually made it to midnight.... last year I fell asleep on the couch around 11:30!

The only picture of Clark and I (not very flattering of either of us!)
Me & Angie ringing in the new year!

My birthday this year was on a Sunday so we just spent a lazy day at home (hence my lovely pajama pants in the pictures).  The next day we went skiing, out to dinner and a movie (Yes man) to really celebrate the big 23!

Clark bought me a cake and some candles and I blew them out around 9pm when I was technically born.  He also spoiled me with gifts and he cleaned the house!  What a nice little hubby I have :)
