Belated

I am a bad wife.  I didn't do a birthday blog for Clark on his 25th birthday [April 4th].  We were in Kaysville for his Birthday since it was Easter and Conference.  We celebrated Saturday by going to Boondocks in Kaysville.  It is this new place with bowling, arcades, lazer tag, and mini golf.  We decided to do some bowling.  His sister Natalie came with her 4 kids, his mom, his sisters Angie and Kim and his best friend Dino.  We had a good time and I think our neice Nash beat us all!  Then after we had scotcheroos for desert.  He does not like cake but likes rice krispy treats so I spiced it up by making scotcheroos [they are peanut butter rice krispy treats with chocolate and butterscotch on the top].  They are delicious!  I of course didn't get any pictures that weekend but I have some random pictures of the birthday boy for his birthday post.

This is Clark and he LOVES....

To SKI

To Play Nintendo

To Ride BMX Bikes

To play on his iphone and hang out with cousin Alex

To be silly and make the nieces and nephews laugh!

To build beautiful furniture

and he Loves being married to me!!

Clark has so many talents and is great at all he does.  I'm so lucky to have such a handy husband.  He can fix or build anything!  He is always willing to help others and share his many talents.  Happy Birthday Clark!  You are a quarter of a century old!

TOTG

For those who don't know TOTG stand for Think of The Germs {It is an Emmett family favorite thanks to my uncle Chad}  This weekend was supposed to be full of Family Fun with my mom's side of the family {My Grandpa and Grandma Allred celebrated their 50th Anniversary} but alas I woke up early Saturday morning with a flu bug.  It was less than perfect timing since the open house party was Saturday from 2-5 and that is when I felt the worst.  I am always sick at the worst times.  For example last Spring Break we took a trip to Japan and of course I had a bad cold and an ear infection the whole time we were there.  This Spring Break I had another cold that was more annoying than anything.  Well I am feeling better but I missed out on all the festivities with my family.  I took a few pictures from Friday {before the flu bug} when I went to lunch with my sisters and my mom!  I will have to post them later when I am using my own computer.  I just wanted to blog about my annoyance with being sick this weekend!  I hope I didn't get anyone else in my family sick.... TOTG!  I love lysol spray and clorox wipes for this very reason!

Go Big or Go Home

My Husband is crazy!  He went snowmobiling with his friend Ryan on Monday up to Tony Grove.  They build a jump and spend a few hours trying to kill themselves.... I'm waiting to get a call on the phone saying Clark is in a full body cast.  We have Aflac accident insurance for this exact reason.  But I guess it is worth it cause he looks super cool doing it.  He was born to ski!

It's kind of hard to see him when he is in front of the tree.  They went about 80 feet in the air!  If you want an adrenaline rush, just call Clark!  Oh and he just reminded me that the snowmobile rolled on top of him... oh geez he is going to die.

since I don't have children...

I act like my nephews are my children!  I blog about them like I am their proud Mom.  Well I am proud to say that my nephew Merrick turned ONE on March 16th.  I was lucky enough to go to California with my mom and my sister Adrienne to visit Merrick and be there for his birthday party.

The view from their balcony
The weather was gorgeous and it was fun to look outside and see the ocean everyday.

Merrick did not cooperate with picture time

(notice that he is standing all by himself!)
My brother in law Adam makes Merrick the cutest shirts.  This one was so funny.
The front has a picture of Merrick with his hands up...

And the back says
"Wanted for stuffing his face"

Waiting for his cake...

Adam and Melissa made a guitar cake for the Party.  The theme was rock n' roll which is very fitting because Adam is very musically talented and he has passed that on to Merrick!  Merrick's favorite song is a Pearl Jam song!  He gets all excited when it comes on and waves his hands and smiles.

His first guitar

Playing outside with his new bubble machine

It was so much fun being in California for the weekend and being able to celebrate Merrick's first birthday.  I miss him already!

Babysitters and Birthdays

I am on a blogging role, two posts in two days!  I am avoiding homework right now, so I might as well blog.  A few weeks ago my nephew Jack came over to hang out while my sister Allison had Bunko.  It was fun having him come play even though he really only wanted to hang out with Clark!  This kid does not smile... he stares!  I tried all night to get a smiling picture and this is the best I could do.

He decided to take a break from playing to watch Shawn White on the half pipe!

I tried to play with Jack but he was only interested in Clark!  Seriously I would try to play with him in the living room and he would get up and walk to the kitchen where Clark was doing homework.  Jack would bring him the little soccer ball, then Clark would kick it and Jack would go get it and bring it back.  I think he smiled at Clark more than me!
I love my cute little nephews, especially when they come hang out with me.

My Mom's birthday was on March 2nd so we celebrated by going out to eat at Olive Garden and then coming to our apartment for cake and ice cream.  We also had a performance by Max.  I have a video of him but I can't figure out how to post it on the blog....
He said the Pledge of Allegiance!  It was so cute.  If I can figure out how to post it I will.

Max and Nana
I hope I look this good when I am 54 (sorry Mom I gave away your age on the internet, but you look great so it doesn't matter!)

Max grew tired of all the girls and decided to play a little soccer with Clark!

March is a busy month for Birthdays, so if you had a Birthday in March HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Family Fun Ski Day

We had another Family Fun Ski Day this past Saturday!  It was great weather and a perfect day to go skiing.  It was also my cousin McKinley's 14th birthday so it was fun to ski with her on her B-Day!  I sadly did not get a picture of the whole "fam damily".  My Uncle Tom, Aunt Shelly, Cousins Sam, Mac and Alex were also included in family fun ski day!

My Dad with 3 of his 5 daughters

Sisters

Husband and Wife

Here is Clark being awesome at skiing

Ha ha we found this tree that looked like it had a bum, so we called it the bum tree and took a picture with it.... Skiing isn't all we do up on the mountain!
